Dominant groups

Analysis of the language spoken at home by children aged 0 to 4 years in the City of Joondalup in 2021 compared to the total population in the City of Joondalup shows that there was a similar proportion of people who spoke English only, and a larger proportion of those speaking a non-English language (either exclusively, or in addition to English).

Overall, 86.0% of children aged 0 to 4 years spoke English only, and 11.8% of% spoke a non-English language, compared with 86.2% and 10.7% respectively for the total population in the City of Joondalup.
