Dominant groups

Analysis of the five year age groups of the population born overseas in the Inner West Council in 2021 compared to the total population in the Inner West Council shows that there was a lower proportion of people in the younger age groups (under 15) and a higher proportion of people in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 3.0% of the population born overseas was aged between 0 and 14, and 23.2% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 14.6% and 14.1% respectively for the total population in the Inner West Council.
