Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Westleigh in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (339 people or 14.7%)
  • Education and Training (321 people or 14.0%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (310 people or 13.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 970 people in total or 42.2% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, North Sydney Council area employed 11.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 7.6% in Education and Training; and 21.5% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Westleigh and North Sydney Council area were:
