Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Laverton in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (194 males or 15.5%)
  • Manufacturing (135 males or 10.8%)
  • Construction (129 males or 10.3%)

In combination, these three industries employed 458 males in total or 36.6% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Hobsons Bay City employed 9.0% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing; 8.5% in Manufacturing; and 15.5% in Construction.
