Hindmarsh Shire is located in central north-west Victoria, about 350 kilometres north-west of Melbourne.

The Hindmarsh Shire Community Profile provides demographic analysis for the Shire and its suburbs based on results from the 2006, 2001, 1996 and 1991 Censuses of Population and Housing. The profile is updated with population estimates when the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) releases new figures.

This site contains 2006 and earlier Census data only. 2011 Census data is not currently available for this area.
