Analysis of the qualifications of the female population in Gunnedah Shire in 2021 compared to Regional NSW shows that there was a lower proportion of females holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of females with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 45.1% of the female population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 42.4% had no qualifications, compared with 50.2% and 39.7% respectively for Regional NSW.
The major differences between qualifications held by the female population of Gunnedah Shire and Regional NSW were:
