Dominant groups

Analysis of female individual income levels in Georges River Council area in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney shows that there was a lower proportion of females earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income females (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 8.6% of the female population earned a high income, and 37.9% earned a low income, compared with 11.3% and 35.8% respectively for Greater Sydney.

The major differences between Georges River Council area's female individual incomes and Greater Sydney's female individual incomes were:

  • A larger percentage of females who earned Negative Income/ Nil income (12.8% compared to 12.0%)
