An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Karingal in 2016 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (986 people or 17.9%)
  • Professionals (834 people or 15.2%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (748 people or 13.6%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,568 people in total or 46.7% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Frankston City employed 17.2% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 16.4% in Professionals; and 11.8% in Community and Personal Service Workers.
