Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Langwarrin in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (2,088 people or 16.7%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,781 people or 14.2%)
  • Retail Trade (1,349 people or 10.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 5,218 people in total or 41.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Frankston City employed 13.8% in Construction; 15.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 10.4% in Retail Trade.

The major difference between the jobs held by the population of Langwarrin and Frankston City was:
