Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Seaford in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,176 people or 14.2%)
  • Construction (1,152 people or 13.9%)
  • Retail Trade (805 people or 9.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,133 people in total or 37.7% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Greater Melbourne employed 13.5% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.3% in Construction; and 9.4% in Retail Trade.
