Analysis of individual income levels in Mareeba (S) in 2021 compared to Tablelands (R) shows that there was a similar proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).
Overall, 5.8% of the population earned a high income, and 33.2% earned a low income, compared with 6.1% and 36.0% respectively for Tablelands (R).
The major differences between Mareeba (S)'s individual incomes and Tablelands (R)'s individual incomes were:
- A smaller percentage of persons who earned $500 - $649 (7.8% compared to 9.2%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who earned $300 - $399 (9.2% compared to 10.5%)
- A smaller percentage of persons who earned $650 - $799 (7.2% compared to 8.2%)
