Analysis of the share of the female population attending educational institutions in FNQROC region in 2021 compared to Cook (S) shows that there was a similar proportion attending primary school, a higher proportion attending secondary school, and a higher proportion engaged in tertiary level education.
Overall, 7.6% of the female population were attending primary school, 6.6% of the female population were attending secondary institutions, and 5.8% were learning at a tertiary level, compared with 7.5%, 4.0% and 4.1% respectively for Cook (S).
The major differences between the share of the female population attending learning institutions in FNQROC region and Cook (S) were:
- A larger percentage of females not attending (68.7% compared to 65.6%)
- A larger percentage of females attending a secondary school (any type) (6.6% compared to 4.0%)
- A larger percentage of females attending a Government secondary school (4.3% compared to 2.4%)
- A larger percentage of females attending a Catholic primary school (2.2% compared to 0.4%)
