This represents a very small proportion of the population (generally 1-2%) and has minimal effect on the overall view of tenure types in overseas-born populations.

Dominant groups
Analysis of the housing tenure of people born in Fiji in Fairfield City in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney shows that there was a larger proportion of people born in Fiji in households who owned their dwelling; a smaller proportion purchasing their dwelling; and a larger proportion who were renters.
Overall, 27.0% of people born in Fiji were in households who owned their dwelling; 32.8% were purchasing, and 37.6% were renting, compared with 22.1%, 43.3% and 32.4% respectively for Greater Sydney.
