This represents a very small proportion of the population (generally 1-2%) and has minimal effect on the overall view of tenure types in overseas-born populations.

Analysis of the housing tenure of people born in Vietnam in Fairfield City in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney shows that there was a larger proportion of people born in Vietnam in households who owned their dwelling; a smaller proportion purchasing their dwelling; and a larger proportion who were renters.
