Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of males in Fairfield City compared to Fairfield East shows that there was a lower proportion of males who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 8.6% of the male population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 9.7% for Fairfield East.

The major differences in the male age groups reporting a need for assistance in Parks Place and Fairfield East were:

  • A smaller percentage of males aged 65 to 69 (16.7% compared to 25.5%)
  • A smaller percentage of males aged 75 to 79 (28.9% compared to 36.6%)
  • A smaller percentage of males aged 70 to 74 (21.1% compared to 25.5%)
