The three largest ancestries in Fairfield West in 2016 were Vietnamese, Assyrian/Chaldean and Australian.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Fairfield West in 2016 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:

  • Vietnamese (2,236 people or 19.4%)
  • Assyrian/Chaldean (1,555 people or 13.5%)
  • Australian (1,163 people or 10.1%)
  • English (1,156 people or 10.0%)
  • Chinese (1,048 people or 9.1%)
