Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in City of Swan in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (10,162 people or 13.3%)
  • Retail Trade (7,829 people or 10.2%)
  • Construction (6,995 people or 9.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 24,986 people in total or 32.6% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, EMRC area employed 13.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.4% in Retail Trade; and 8.7% in Construction.

The major difference between the jobs held by the population of the City of Swan and EMRC area was:
