Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Bayswater in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (3,873 females or 22.0%)
  • Education and Training (2,229 females or 12.6%)
  • Retail Trade (1,657 females or 9.4%)

In combination, these three industries employed 7,759 females in total or 44.0% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, EMRC area employed 22.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.5% in Education and Training; and 11.3% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Bayswater and EMRC area were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in professional, scientific and technical services (8.0% compared to 5.9%)
