Dominant groups

Analysis of the housing tenure of households of Western Sydney (LGA) in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney shows that there was a smaller proportion of households who owned their dwelling; a larger proportion purchasing their dwelling; and a smaller proportion who were renters.

Overall, 24.4% of households owned their dwelling; 35.4% were purchasing, and 33.1% were renting, compared with 26.7%, 31.9% and 34.7% respectively for Greater Sydney.
