Dominant groups
Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Bayside Council area in 2021 compared to Western Sydney (LGA) shows that 80.0% of the households owned at least one car, while 14.0% did not, compared with 86.4% and 7.8% respectively in Western Sydney (LGA).
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 44.2% of the households owned one car; 25.7% owned two cars; and 10.1% owned three cars or more, compared with 34.2%; 33.6% and 18.7% respectively for Western Sydney (LGA).
