Analysis of the qualifications of the female population in Canberra Region in 2021 compared to Bega Valley Shire shows that there was a higher proportion of females holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a similar proportion of females with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 52.6% of the female population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 37.4% had no qualifications, compared with 51.8% and 37.4% respectively for Bega Valley Shire.
The major differences between qualifications held by the female population of Canberra Region and Bega Valley Shire were:
- A larger percentage of females with Bachelor or Higher degrees (23.8% compared to 22.3%)
