Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Upper Lachlan Shire in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (692 males or 32.8%)
  • Construction (283 males or 13.4%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (234 males or 11.1%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,209 males in total or 57.3% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Wagga Wagga City employed 5.9% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; 14.6% in Construction; and 12.2% in Public Administration and Safety.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Upper Lachlan Shire and Wagga Wagga City were:
