Dominant groups

Analysis of the language spoken at home by the population of Woodville Ward in 2016 compared to the City of Charles Sturt shows that there was a smaller proportion of people who spoke English only, and a larger proportion of those speaking a non-English language (either exclusively, or in addition to English).

Overall, 56.6% of the population spoke English only, and 38.6% spoke a non-English language, compared with 68.0% and 27.3% respectively for the City of Charles Sturt.

The dominant language spoken at home, other than English, in Woodville Ward was Vietnamese, with 11.2% of the population, or 1,793 people speaking this language at home.
