Dominant groups

Analysis of the language spoken at home by the population of Grange - Henley Beach in 2016 compared to the City of Charles Sturt shows that there was a larger proportion of people who spoke English only, and a smaller proportion of those speaking a non-English language (either exclusively, or in addition to English).

Overall, 83.9% of the population spoke English only, and 11.5% spoke a non-English language, compared with 68.0% and 27.3% respectively for the City of Charles Sturt.

The dominant language spoken at home, other than English, in Grange - Henley Beach was Italian, with 2.5% of the population, or 296 people speaking this language at home.

The major differences between the languages spoken at home for the population of Grange - Henley Beach and the City of Charles Sturt in 2016 were:
