Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Grange Ward in 2016 compared to the City of Charles Sturt shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 24.1% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 9.6% were one-parent families, compared with 26.6% and 10.7% respectively for the City of Charles Sturt.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 30.7% compared to 28.7% in the City of Charles Sturt while the proportion of couples without children was 27.0% compared to 24.4% in the City of Charles Sturt.
