Dominant groups
Analysis of the need for assistance of females in Central Coast TAS compared to Regional TAS shows that there was a similar proportion of females who reported needing assistance with core activities.
Overall, 7.4% of the female population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 7.4% for Regional TAS.
The major differences in the female age groups reporting a need for assistance in Central Coast Council area and Regional TAS were:
- A smaller percentage of females aged 75 to 79 (14.1% compared to 15.9%)
- A smaller percentage of females aged 60 to 64 (5.6% compared to 7.3%)
- A smaller percentage of females aged 80 to 84 (25.3% compared to 26.3%)
