Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of males in Central Coast TAS compared to Regional TAS shows that there was a similar proportion of males who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 7.5% of the male population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 7.2% for Regional TAS.

The major differences in the male age groups reporting a need for assistance in Central Coast Council area and Regional TAS were:

  • A smaller percentage of males aged 85 and over (33.2% compared to 38.3%)
  • A smaller percentage of males aged 70 to 74 (10.7% compared to 12.0%)

Emerging groups
