Analysis of the qualifications of people in low income households in Central Coast NSW in 2021 compared to Greater Sydney shows that there was a similar proportion of people in low income households holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a lower proportion with no formal qualifications.

Overall, 38.5% of people in low income households aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 54.8% had no qualifications, compared with 38.1% and 56.9% respectively for Greater Sydney.

The major differences between the qualifications held by people in low income households in Central Coast Council area and Greater Sydney are:
