Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Bateau Bay in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (865 people or 16.5%)
  • Construction (708 people or 13.5%)
  • Education and Training (576 people or 11.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,149 people in total or 41.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Central Coast Council area employed 17.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.5% in Construction; and 8.2% in Education and Training.
