Analysis of the year of arrival for the overseas born population of the City of Casey in 2016 compared to Greater Melbourne shows that there was a smaller proportion of people who arrived before 2001, and a larger proportion of recent overseas arrivals (those who arrived between 2006 and 2011).
Overall, 45.1% of the overseas born population arrived before 2001, and 21.9% arrived during or after 2006, compared with 47.7% and 16.4% respectively for Greater Melbourne.
The major differences in year of arrival data in the population between the City of Casey and Greater Melbourne are:
