Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Narre Warren in 2011 compared to the City of Casey shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a similar proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 42.5% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.9% were one-parent families, compared with 44.4% and 12.6% respectively for the City of Casey.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 18.0% compared to 15.3% in the City of Casey while the proportion of couples without children was 20.9% compared to 21.8% in the City of Casey.
