Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Narre Warren in 2016 compared to the City of Casey shows that there was a lower proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a similar proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 42.3% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.3% were one-parent families, compared with 45.1% and 11.8% respectively for the City of Casey.

There were a higher proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 16.6% compared to 14.6% in the City of Casey while the proportion of couples without children was 22.0% compared to 20.9% in the City of Casey.
