Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Botanic Ridge in 2021 compared to Junction Village shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 54.0% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 8.6% were one-parent families, compared with 18.2% and 9.9% respectively for Junction Village.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 7.4% compared to 37.5% in Junction Village while the proportion of couples without children was 26.8% compared to 28.1% in Junction Village.
