Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of people in the City of Casey compared to the City of Casey shows that there was a lower proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 4.6% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 5.2% for the City of Casey.

The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in Casey Coast and the City of Casey were:

  • A smaller percentage of persons aged 85 and over (37.0% compared to 54.9%)
  • A smaller percentage of persons aged 75 to 79 (11.5% compared to 23.3%)
  • A smaller percentage of persons aged 80 to 84 (23.1% compared to 34.8%)
