Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of males in the City of Casey compared to the City of Casey shows that there was a higher proportion of males who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 5.8% of the male population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 4.9% for the City of Casey.

The major differences in the male age groups reporting a need for assistance in Narre Warren and the City of Casey were:

  • A larger percentage of males aged 75 to 79 (26.1% compared to 21.5%)
  • A larger percentage of males aged 85 and over (50.0% compared to 46.2%)
