Dominant groups

Analysis of the need for assistance of people in the City of Casey compared to Casey Coast shows that there was a higher proportion of people who reported needing assistance with core activities.

Overall, 5.2% of the population reported needing assistance with core activities, compared with 4.6% for Casey Coast.

The major differences in the age groups reporting a need for assistance in the City of Casey and Casey Coast were:

  • A larger percentage of persons aged 75 to 79 (23.3% compared to 11.5%)
