Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Campbelltown City in 2011 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Manufacturing (9,055 people or 13.9%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (7,028 people or 10.8%)
  • Retail Trade (7,006 people or 10.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 23,089 people in total or 35.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Greater Sydney employed 8.5% in Manufacturing; 10.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; and 9.8% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Campbelltown City and Greater Sydney were:
