Eagle Vale is named after an original property in the area.

Settlement history

Settlement of the area dates from the 1820s, with land used mainly for farming. Significant development did not occur until the late 1970s. Rapid growth took place from the early 1980s into the early 1990s. The population has fluctuated slightly since the mid 1990s, a result of small changes in dwelling stock, the average number of persons living in each dwelling and the proportion of occupied dwellings.
