Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Earlville in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (324 people or 18.1%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (188 people or 10.5%)
  • Retail Trade (170 people or 9.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 682 people in total or 38.1% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Cairns employed 18.1% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 9.9% in Accommodation and Food Services; and 9.7% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Earlville and Cairns were:
