Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by recent overseas arrivals in City of Burnside in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (437 persons or 32.6%)
- Community and Personal Service Workers (207 persons or 15.4%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (149 persons or 11.1%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 793 people in total or 59.1% of the employed recent overseas arrivals.
In comparison, Greater Adelaide employed 20.8% in Professionals; 20.8% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 7.6% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the recent overseas arriving population of the City of Burnside and Greater Adelaide were:
