Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Sunshine District in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (2,228 males or 19.7%)
  • Machinery Operators And Drivers (2,057 males or 18.2%)
  • Labourers (1,779 males or 15.7%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 6,064 males in total or 53.5% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Brimbank employed 21.2% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 18.1% in Machinery Operators And Drivers; and 15.0% in Labourers.
