Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Sunshine North in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Manufacturing (626 people or 12.7%)
  • Retail Trade (563 people or 11.4%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (542 people or 11.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,731 people in total or 35.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, the City of Brimbank employed 9.6% in Manufacturing; 10.2% in Retail Trade; and 11.3% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Sunshine North and the City of Brimbank were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in manufacturing (12.7% compared to 9.6%)
