Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Sunshine District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,797 females or 20.1%)
  • Retail Trade (996 females or 11.1%)
  • Education and Training (896 females or 10.0%)

In combination, these three industries employed 3,689 females in total or 41.3% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Brimbank employed 19.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.2% in Retail Trade; and 10.3% in Education and Training.

The major difference between the jobs held by the female population of the Sunshine District and the City of Brimbank was:
