Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Sunshine NIEC in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (2,043 people or 12.2%)
  • Manufacturing (1,721 people or 10.3%)
  • Retail Trade (1,588 people or 9.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 5,352 people in total or 32.0% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Deer Park employed 12.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 10.0% in Manufacturing; and 9.6% in Retail Trade.
