Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in St Albans in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (1,605 people or 11.6%)
  • Manufacturing (1,586 people or 11.5%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (1,346 people or 9.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 4,537 people in total or 32.8% of the total employed resident population.
