Dominant groups

Analysis of female individual income levels in Sunshine North in 2021 compared to the City of Brimbank shows that there was a similar proportion of females earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income females (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 3.2% of the female population earned a high income, and 50.4% earned a low income, compared with 3.6% and 47.8% respectively for the City of Brimbank.

The major differences between Sunshine North's female individual incomes and the City of Brimbank's female individual incomes were:

  • A larger percentage of females who earned Negative Income/ Nil income (17.7% compared to 15.3%)
  • A larger percentage of females who earned $300 - $399 (11.9% compared to 11.1%)
  • A smaller percentage of females who earned $1,250 - $1,499 (3.6% compared to 4.8%)
