Dominant groups

Analysis of individual income levels in Grasslands Ward in 2021 compared to the Sydenham District shows that there was a lower proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 3.9% of the population earned a high income, and 43.7% earned a low income, compared with 7.9% and 39.0% respectively for the Sydenham District.
