Dominant groups

Analysis of the car ownership of the households in the Sydenham District in 2021 compared to the City of Brimbank shows that 91.3% of the households owned at least one car, while 4.1% did not, compared with 86.7% and 6.7% respectively in the City of Brimbank.

Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.

Overall, 27.4% of the households owned one car; 36.6% owned two cars; and 27.3% owned three cars or more, compared with 32.2%; 34.2% and 20.3% respectively for the City of Brimbank.
