Dominant groups

Analysis of the country of birth of the population in Albion in 2016 compared to City of Brimbank shows that there was a larger proportion of people born overseas, as well as a larger proportion of people from a non-English speaking background.

Overall, 50.2% of the population was born overseas, and 46.8% were from a non-English speaking background, compared with 47.8% and 44.6% respectively for City of Brimbank.

The largest non-English speaking country of birth in Albion was India, where 8.9% of the population, or 412 people, were born.

The major differences between the countries of birth of the population in Albion and City of Brimbank were:
