Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Kew in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (2,621 females or 42.1%)
- Clerical and Administrative Workers (1,016 females or 16.3%)
- Managers (1,015 females or 16.3%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 4,652 females in total or 74.7% of the employed female resident population.
In comparison, Kew East employed 41.2% in Professionals; 18.9% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 13.2% in Managers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Kew and Kew East were:
- A larger percentage of females employed as Managers (16.3% compared to 13.2%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Clerical and Administrative Workers (16.3% compared to 18.9%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Sales Workers (8.5% compared to 9.7%)
- A smaller percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (9.5% compared to 10.6%)
Emerging groups
The number of employed females in Kew increased by 272 between 2016 and 2021.
The largest changes in the occupations of female residents between 2016 and 2021 in Kew were for those employed as:
- Professionals (+215 females)
- Managers (+76 females)
