Dominant groups

Analysis of female individual income levels in Balwyn in 2021 compared to the City of Boroondara shows that there was a lower proportion of females earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a higher proportion of low income females (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 13.8% of the female population earned a high income, and 38.8% earned a low income, compared with 18.3% and 32.4% respectively for the City of Boroondara.

The major differences between Balwyn's female individual incomes and the City of Boroondara's female individual incomes were:
